The term EVP took shape to avoid the assumption that spirits are communicating the voices that arise, thus the term (EVP) is more comprehensive, scientific and is open to hypotheses that researchers may offer on the phenomenon that occurs in the same way to the ITC. In recent years, the scientific means is turning the research of this kind, since the supporters of such research to the most skeptical. We have to admit that for many years has been to bring abundant material that seem to indicate that spirits communicate, within of course, the limits have not yet fully discovered that this technology exposes. However, over the years, many critics appear- TCI, especially by the methods used. The main criticism we have pareidolia, that is, a need that our brain has to make sense of things, images and sounds that may arise in forms and intensity infinitesimal. Of all, they are

not wrong those who criticize, after all who has had the opportunity to listen to a TCI audio certainly did not understand how some people can decipher the noises and processing them into words. Well, wait there, in that case we need a better view on the subject. There is a categorization of various levels of sounds, more intelligible and not others. Ok, yet how few can understand what most do not understand? Perhaps a good explanation for this is the habit or else "used by ear" to the understanding of such sounds. It is very common for a layman, the transmissions between aircraft or HF radios, they can not understand what is spoken between the talks, though the professionals who use them widely (and daily) do very easily. This fact has demonstrated that the skeptical argument is not sustained, at least for clearer audio. Another constant criticism of TCI has been background noise used to capture electronic voices. For more lay on the subject, it is worth emphasizing that the process used today to recordings of these electronic phenomena is as follows: 1) take a tape recorder any, may be the computer itself; 2) Tune to a radio leaving it open season (without any line) or you can use a previously recorded sound; 3) It is evocations and questions, leaving the recorder capturing background noise for some time; 4) After capturing the experiencer / researcher to scan the sound (if not already been done on the computer) and use

In general, all critical is required and welcome, especially when applying the method and not the belief of anyone. This was one of the reasons that motivated the Anabela Cardoso researcher to join a group of scholars and replicate the phenomenon within various scientific rigors, joining a number of critical and improving the method itself. Although some researchers have tried, without success, it seems to give more support to the evidence is towards spiritualism, not a paranormal phenomenon itself. In 2001, the researcher Imants Baruss, the Department of Psychology, University of Western Ontario, King's College published scientific paper in the Journal of Scientific Exploration

(Vol. 15, No. 3, pp. 355-367, 2001) reporting their failures in trying to replicate the phenomenon. For the pseudo-skeptics that seemed to show that it is all a fraud or rare event to occur (Pareidolia), however, and watchful eyes, the advent only came to denote more evidence for spiritual communication as most possible factor, there since the TCI groups act considering the spiritual hypothesis and not only vague evocations. Another factor against PSI hypothesis arises because the researcher's wish that this phenomenon occurs and the fact was that nothing happened, even Baruss (and his team) demonstrating the desire of the phenomenon. It is important to understand that the term PVS leaves open the source that generates the phenomenon, so we again, a group dividing between 10 paranormal and spiritual. On the one hand researchers believe that the voices that arise are from spirits, based on all his studies and observations, and the other, a group that discredits in such a case and begins to search for explain it in the traditional manner. It seems that the current evidence already denote that fraud and materialist explanation fail to have more effect due to the abundant material exposed and studied, not being more appropriate to explain the occurrence of phenomena. SCIENCE JOURNAL SPIRITIST OUT / 2015 Having the knowledge of many critics, Anabela Cardoso researcher produced a perfect scientific method covering all questions. She used armored cabin for recordings, thus avoiding abstractions or external interference; previously recorded a white noise background, avoiding

the possibility of magnetic interference from transmitting source ( "silent mouth" of many critics who explained phenomenology thereby) and used professional equipment to capture. The results were incredibly positive, bringing progress to espiritas researchers as denoted that some equipment (such as microphone) make a difference in capturing the voices and the scientific community in general. Until now I have found does not criticize something to her work, it seems that the skeptics "remained silent" in the face of such evidence and it appears that, by touching on the subject, all flee or try to leave this hidden job, after all this "tips" the materialism such that lacked courage to admit that some may be wrong. For the scientific spiritualist medium, Anabela Cardoso's research results show that mediumship can be electronic and that we have to move much on it yet. It is somewhat incomprehensible why some more moralistic or orthodox spiritualists go against TCI, defending the hypothesis that technology and advancement in this field can deteriorate the doctrine. Schwartz's research, published in our previous edition, has shown that we need to review many of the psychic concepts in general and Anabela this study brings up issues that we need to rethink: how to explain the phenomenon? Already had the opportunity to participate in various sessions, led by Suely Raimundo researcher, and verify the seriousness and commitment to this kind of work, especially with regard to possible explanations of how the phenomenon occurs. Myself, sometimes I was already developing hypotheses and

adding my knowledge every event, I concluded that one of the probable hypotheses may be the direct voice phenomenon, where there are research reports of the past, both English and French, to hear the audible voice. In his research, Anabela reports that more sensitive microphones provide better results, it can lead us to assume that the recurring phenomenon is in very low intensity and that even our ears not getting that exact instant communication, technology comes and "gives us "with the recorders, so we can hear after the work, which was captured. Another hypothesis that remains "active" between TCI researchers, is that there may be transmitting stations of radio "the other side", this hypothesis itself should not be ruled out because the radio-frequency materialization phenomenon is entirely possible . The challenges are there and the evidence too, it is a serious and long work to advance in this technological field. Sandro Fontana Para os ainda não familiarizados, o termo EVP significa Fenômeno Eletrônico de Voz (electronic voice phenomena) e possui sim “ligação intima” com a TCI, este ultimo querendo dizer: Transcomunicação Instrumental. O termo EVP tomou forma para evitar o pressuposto de que espíritos estão se comunicando pelas vozes que surgem, sendo assim o termo (EVP) é mais abrangente, cientifico e fica aberto a hipóteses que pesquisadores venham a oferecer sobre o fenômeno que ocorre da mesma forma que na TCI. Nos últimos anos o meio cientifico vem se voltando a pesquisas desse género, desde os adeptos a tais pesquisas até os mais céticos. Temos que admitir que ao longo de muitos anos vem-se trazendo material abundante que parecem evidenciar que espíritos se comunicam, dentro é claro, dos limites ainda não totalmente descobertos que tal tecnologia expõe. No entanto, ao longo dos anos, vem- se criticando muito a TCI, principalmente pelos métodos utilizados. Dentre as principais criticas temos a pareidolia, isto é, uma necessidade que nosso cérebro possui para dar sentido a coisas, imagens e sons que possam surgir em formas e intensidade ínfimas. De todos, não estão errados os que criticam, afinal quem já teve oportunidade de ouvir um áudio de TCI certamente ficou sem entender como algumas pessoas conseguem decifrar os ruídos e transforma- los em palavras. Bom, esperem aí, nesse caso precisamos de uma melhor visão sobre a temática. Há uma categorização de vários níveis de sons, uns mais inteligíveis e outros não. Ok, mas mesmo assim

como é que alguns conseguem entender o que a maioria não entende? Talvez uma boa explicação para isso seja o hábito ou então o “acostumar de ouvido” para a compreensão de tais sons. É muito comum um leigo, à transmissões entre aviões ou rádios de HF, não conseguirem entender o que é falado entre as conversas, no entanto os profissionais que os utilizam amplamente (e diariamente) o fazem com muita facilidade. Esse fato vem demonstrando que o argumento cético não tem se sustentado, ao menos para os áudios mais nítidos. Outra crítica constante à TCI vem sendo o ruído de fundo utilizado para se captar as vozes eletrônicas. REVISTA CIÊNCIA ESPÍRITA OUT/2015 Para os mais leigos no assunto, vale enfatizar que o processo utilizado hoje para gravações desses fenômenos eletrônicos é o seguinte: 1) Pega-se um gravador qualquer, podendo ser o próprio computador; 2) Sintoniza-se um rádio deixando-o em estação aberta (sem sintonia alguma) ou então se pode utilizar um ruído previamente gravado; 3) Faz-se evocações e perguntas, deixando o gravador captando o ruído de fundo por algum tempo; 4) Após a captação o experimentador/ pesquisador deve digitalizar o som (se já não o foi feito no computador) e utilizar um programa editor de som para mais facilmente encontrar e editar as amplitudes captadas (em geral o SoundForge ou Audacity); Com base nas informações acima, podemos melhor entender como os críticos atuam, onde o outro foco é exatamente: Os ruídos de fundo. Um das criticas mais intensas é a utilização

de fundo que se baseia em fonemas previamente gravados, por esse motivo o meio cientifico rejeita qualquer ruído que se baseie em algo que possa gerar a pareidolia, por exemplo, um ruído branco (chiado do radio ou TV) não pode induzir um pesquisador a ouvir algo, a menos que uma interferência ocorra no momento da gravação, por outro lado, a utilização de fonemas misturados (uma série de palavras faladas e sobrepostas) é rechaçado facilmente por qualquer crítico, principalmente os melhores preparados que sabem que variações de sons e indutâncias podem repercutir facilmente no engano ao cérebro, mesmo comparando o audio original com o captado. De um modo geral, toda a crítica é necessária e bem vinda, principalmente quando se aplica ao método e não a crença de qualquer um. Esse foi um dos motivos que motivou a pesquisadora Anabela Cardoso a unir um grupo de estudiosos e replicar o fenômeno dentro de vários rigores científicos, unindo uma série de criticas e aprimorando o método em si. Embora alguns pesquisadores já tenham tentado e sem sucesso, isso parece dar mais subsídios para que a evidência esteja rumo ao espiritismo, e não a um fenômeno paranormal em si. No ano de 2001, o pesquisador Imants Baruss, do Departamento de Psicologia da University of Western Ontario, King’s College publicou artigo científico no Journal of Scientific Exploration (Vol. 15, No. 3, pp. 355–367, 2001) relatando seus insucessos em tentar replicar o fenômeno. Para os pseudo-céticos isso pareceu demonstrar que tudo não passa de uma

fraude ou fato raro de ocorrer (pareidolia), no entanto, a olhos bem atentos, o advento só veio a denotar mais evidência para a comunicação espiritual como maior fator possível, haja visto que os grupos de TCI atuam considerando a hipótese espiritual e não somente evocações vagas. Outro fator contra a hipótese PSI surge pelo fato do pesquisador desejar que tal fenômeno ocorra e o fato foi que nada ocorreu, mesmo Baruss (e sua equipe) demonstrando o desejo do fenômeno. É importante entender que o termo EVP deixa em aberto a fonte que gera o fenômeno, sendo assim temos, mais uma vez, um grupo se dividindo entre o 10 paranormal e o espiritual. De um lado pesquisadores convictos de que as vozes que surgem são oriundas de espíritos, baseados em todos os seus estudos e observações, e de outro, um grupo que desacredita em tal hipótese e passa a busca em explicá-la de forma mais tradicional. Tudo leva a crer que as evidências atuais já denotam que a explicação de fraude e materialista não surtem mais efeito devido ao abundante material exposto e estudado, não sendo mais cabíveis para explicar a ocorrência dos fenômenos. REVISTA CIÊNCIA ESPÍRITA OUT/2015 De posse do conhecimento de muitas criticas, a pesquisadora Anabela Cardoso elaborou um perfeito método cientifico que abrangia todos os quesitos. Ela utilizou cabine blindada para as gravações, evitando assim captações ou interferências exteriores; Gravou previamente um ruído branco de fundo, evitando a possibilidade de interferência magnética de fonte transmissora (“calando a boca”

de muitos críticos que explicavam a fenomenologia por esse meio) e utilizou equipamento profissional para a captação. Os resultados foram incrivelmente positivos, trazendo avanço para pesquisadores espiritas, pois denotou que alguns equipamentos (como microfone) fazem diferença na captação das vozes e para a comunidade cientifica em geral. Até o presente momento eu não encontrei critica alguma ao trabalho dela, parece que os céticos “se calaram” diante de tal evidência e parece que, ao se tocar no assunto, todos fogem ou tentam deixar esse trabalho escondido, afinal isso "derruba" o materialismo de tal forma que faltou coragem de alguns para admitir que podem estar errados. Para o meio espirita cientifico, os resultados da pesquisa de Anabela Cardoso demonstram que a mediunidade pode ser eletrônica e que temos que avançar muito nela ainda. É um tanto incompreensível o motivo de alguns espiritas mais moralistas ou ortodoxos irem contra a TCI, defendendo a hipótese de que a tecnologia e avanço nesse campo possa a deteriorar a doutrina. A pesquisa de Schwartz, publicada em nossa edição anterior, já demonstrou que precisamos rever muitos dos conceitos mediúnicos em geral e este estudo de Anabela traz a tona questões que precisamos repensar: como se explicar o fenômeno? Ja tive oportunidade de participar de várias sessões, lideradas pela pesquisadora Suely Raimundo, e verificar a seriedade e comprometimento com este tipo de trabalho, principalmente no tocante às possíveis explicações de como o fenômeno ocorre. Eu mesmo, por vezes já fiquei elaborando hipóteses e, somando meu conhecimento a cada

evento, vou concluindo que uma das hipóteses prováveis pode ser o fenômeno de voz direta, onde há relatos de pesquisas do passado, tanto por ingleses como franceses, de ouvirem a voz audível. Em sua pesquisa, Anabela relata que microfones mais sensíveis oferecem melhores resultados, isso pode nos levar a supor que o fenômeno recorrente seja em intensidade muito fraca e que, mesmo nossos ouvidos não captando aquele exato instante da comunicação, a tecnologia vem e “nos brinda” com os gravadores, para que seja possível ouvirmos depois dos trabalhos, o que foi captado. Outra hipótese que se mantém “ativa”, entre os pesquisadores de TCI, é de que possam existir estações transmissoras de radiofrequência “do outro lado”, essa hipótese em si não deve ser descartada pois o fenômeno de materialização de rádio- frequências é totalmente possível. Os desafios estão aí e as evidências também, cabe um trabalho sério e longo para avançarmos nesse campo tecnológico.
